The installation of FreeNAS / TrueNAS is very simple and only a few configurations have to be done.
The module supports FreeNAS and also TrueNAS CORE. New installations should install TrueNAS. FreeNAS and TrueNAS have been merged and only TrueNAS is actively maintained by the developer.
TrueNAS SCALE is NOT supported and will not be supported in the future.
Installation of TrueNAS
Download the TrueNAS ISO and install it on your server: https://www.truenas.com/download-truenas-core/
The installation of TrueNAS is simple and you just need to follow the instructions in the installation wizard.

The installation steps were created for FreeNAS, but are nearly identical for TrueNAS.
